“We” are Zaira and Aahz – Zaira’s the daughter, Aahz is the dad. Special guest appearances will also be made by Aahz’s ex-wife (and Zaira’s mother) Pepper; Zaira’s half-brother, Gavin; Zaira’s half-brother Julian, and miscellaneous other friends and family.
We’re amusement park junkies. Specifically, Aahz is a roller coaster junkie and Zaira has the general thrill ride habit.
We also both love souvenirs. And what better souvenir is there of a day of thrilling rides than an on ride photograph? Our first photo together was on the Giant Dipper at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk on July 2, 2005. Zaira and I had been separated for about six years and had just met up again. A day at the Boardwalk seemed th eperfect way to spend some time together to get to know each other. I love that photo and we’ve spent every possible weekend since visiting park, riding rides, and collecting ride photographs.
Once the collection grew past 100 photos we started to lose track of when, exactly, certain rides had occurred. That’s how this blog was born – out of necessity. But it also gives us the opportunity to share our collection with you – our adoring public 
We’ve expanded the collection over the years to not only include our personal ride photographs, but those of others as well. Thanks to the wonders of eBay we now have souvenir photographs dating back to the end of the 19th century. We would also like to extend an invitation to all of you lovely readers to submit on-ride photographs of your own.
