Goat Cart – Long Beach, CA – 1927
I picked up this souvenir photograph in an old photo album that I came across in an antique store in San Jose. It depicts two young boys on the family vacation to Long Beach, California back in 1927. Their parents were kind enough to allow them to ride in a goat cart and an enterprising photographer snapped this shot in return for a few dimes.
There were probably hundreds (if not thousands) of these photographs taken around this time, but despite all my searching and collecting, this is the only goat cart souvenir photo I have ever been able to find. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
