Giant Dipper – Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
The Photo That Started It All…
On June 22, 2005 I met up with my daughter, Zaira for the first time in roughly 6 years. Two weeks later, we went to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk for a day of fun and getting to know each other.
I have been a roller coaster fan since I was a munchkin myself and the Giant Dipper at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk has always been my favorite coaster, so it was a special treat to ride this coaster with Zaira. It seemed only appropriate that we purchase the on-ride picture, completely unaware that it would be the beginnings of both a collection and an obsession for us both.
